We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to find us a competent contractor for our home improvement. We joined and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
